Hello! I’m Alysia McIntosh, and I have had the privilege of serving as a dedicated Dental Hygienist at Scott Powers Dentistry since July 2010. My journey in dentistry has been one of continuous learning and commitment to providing exceptional care.

Education and Expertise: My foundation in dental care began with an Associate Degree as a Dental Assistant, followed by becoming a Certified Dental Assistant. Building on this foundation, I pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. These qualifications empower me to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to our valued patients.

Dedicated to Excellence: Through continuous education, I’ve achieved a Local Anesthesia License and ensure I complete 20 Continuing Education hours every two years to maintain my Dental Hygiene License. This commitment to staying current in the field enables me to provide the latest advancements and best practices to our patients.

Building Relationships and Restorative Care: What brings me the most joy in my role is the opportunity to build strong and lasting relationships with our patients. Many of these relationships have evolved into close friendships over the years. I take great pride in contributing to our patients’ restorative care journeys by helping them achieve healthier and happier smiles.

Beyond the Dental Office: When I’m not passionately caring for smiles, I relish spending quality time with my husband, two daughters, extended family, and my canine companion. Being outdoors fuels my spirit, whether it’s hitting the trails on a hike, exploring off-road in my Jeep, or simply basking in the beauty of nature.  I’m also an avid sports enthusiast and find joy in watching various sporting events.
