Meet Dr. Scott Powers, Your New Dentist in Lyons
Dr. Scott Powers received a DDS degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1998. Following his residency, he completed a one-year fellowship in implant dentistry. Fewer than 1 percent of all dentists have completed two years of residency and fellowship training. Dr. Powers is one of only a few general dentists in the state certified to administer IV sedation. He also provides hospital dentistry in the operating room using general anesthesia. He has taken thousands of hours of continuing education and loves to stay up to date on the latest advancements, especially in the field of implant dentistry.
What Our Patients Are Saying
This was the first time I have been to the dentist since Covid. Dr. Powers and his staff were amazing! They were extremely friendly and really made me feel at ease. Lesli, my dental hygienist, was especially nice and was a great representative for the office. I highly recommend Dr. Powers and his staff for your dental needs.
Had a cleaning with Alysia and visit with Dr Powers today. So glad that I made that appointment! Alysia was very knowledgeable and thorough. Everyone from the receptionist to the doc are amazing! This office rocks!
I have a huge fear or the dentist but Dr.Powers and his hygienist Alysia made me feel comfortable and calmed my nerves . They made sure to talk with me before my appointment started to understand what was most important to me for my teeth. I would highly recommend them to anymore looking for a new dentist 😁

I would recommend that anyone, my friends, family, anyone, come to see Dr. Powers and his staff. They are excellent. Not only from a cleaning standpoint with the staff, but also any kind of oral surgery, any kind of dental work that you need.
It's just a very warm, friendly environment. It's not a hard sell environment. It's, what is it that you need? What is it that we can help you do? What can we help you achieve? It's just a very, very nice practice to come into. They take care of all the needs that you may have and they do it in a very caring and nurturing way. You'd be hard pressed to find this and very many other practices.
Dr. Powers is great for anybody. He's good for people that have really good dental health, but he's particularly good for people that really need some significant help. He doesn't ever make you feel like your mouth is any worse than anybody else's. He knows how to take care of the most complicated things. Some of the things he's done in my mouth have been very complicated. He's very competent. He knows what he's doing. He gives you options and information. Because of that, I would recommend him to anybody I know, to my kids, my husband. Since my kids were little before they had teeth, when they just had gums, he's taken care of their teeth and they've never had a cavity. They've got great dental history. He takes care of anybody like me or somebody like them.
When you visit Dr. Powers, you can expect to be treated with the utmost respect, always a smile. You will know the staff. The staff will know you. I know it's cliche, but it's family and there's nothing better than family.

Routine checkups, along with regular brushing and flossing at home, are essential if you want to keep your smile healthy and looking great. We recommend that you visit us at least twice a year for a dental cleaning and exam.
